6 Must Have Accessories for your Dog!

Must have accessories for your furry friend

1) Slurpabowl:  Every dog owner knows how difficult it is to try and give your dog water in a water bottle, that’s why the Slurpabowl is a great must have accessory for your k-9’s. It’s small and easy and attaches firmly to your leash. Its also great for the environment as you can use it more than once, and when you’re done you can recycle it. Love this so much!

2) Glowdoggie Illuminated LED Dog Collar is also a fan favourite as its not only a nice colourful collar, but helps keep your animal safe at night when its almost impossible to see your dark furry friends running around the dog park. It truly is a must have accessory that every dog owner should invest in, I own one of these collars and absolutely love it!

3) The BumperBeds with Hemp are the perfect comfy bed for your furry friend to lie down on and relax after a hard days work. This eco-friendly hemp stuffed bed never flattens or bunches and is a dream come true for dog owners and their DOGIZ. If you really want to spoil your best friend, your pet is sure to love snoozing on this luxurious and comfy bed.

4) Greenies – The original Smart Treat for dogs is the number 1 vet recommended dental chew sticks. This all-natural treat for dogs helps to fight dental disease. Greenies also prevent the forming of tartar through the cleaning and binding of calcium. It’s never too late to take care of your dog’s teeth, and greenies is a healthy and easy way to do it. Greenies ensures your dog will always enjoy cleaning their teeth with these tasty snacks!

5) MidwestLife Stages Single Door Folding Dog Crate is a wonderful tool to help dog owners train their puppies, while allowing them to grow into the crate as well. The crates are made to travel and are extremely convenient for those long road trips. Cages often have a negative connotation with owners, but if you train your pup properly they can quickly learn to love it! The Midwest Life stage Folding Dog Crate is useful when you are teaching your dog where it is meant to sleep, and not jump up onto your bed in the middle of the night!

6) BowserDog Beer allows you and your furry friend to kick back and grab a beer together. Its non-alcoholic and carbonated free beer, and made of meat broth, malt barley, and glucosamine, which aids in the health of your pup's joints. Now you and your furry best friend can wander over to a bar and grab a beer together, making it a favourite for our top accessories for your dog.

My Top 5 Dog Parks in Tel Aviv

"Hey! My name is Mufasa and I am a half German Shepard living in Tel Aviv! Join me on my adventures as I turn Tel Aviv into my Pride Rock- Check out my 5 favourite Dog parks in Tel Aviv! :-)"

1) Gan Hair

IMG_3064.JPG

"Gan Hair is one of my favourite parks, hidden behind Kikar Rabin, it is definitely one of the most popular dog parks in central Tel Aviv! There are constantly dogs here to play with and there is always a young, friendly and warm crowd of local dog lovers coming to chill out! Gan Hair is located in a beautiful park with fountains and a large open area for us dogiz to run around. The only bad thing about Gan Hair is that there isn't much shade- so during the summer it can get pretty hot during the day. The warm and friendly atmosphere here makes it one of the best dog parks for Dogiz in Tel Aviv :-)"

2) Park Hayarkon- B'nei Dan

"Located in the middle of the stunning park Hayarkon in North Tel Aviv, Bnei Dan is one of the biggest dog parks in Tel Aviv. I love B'nei Dan because there is just so much space to run around! The dog park is divided into two sections with a fun selection of ramps, tyres and swinging sticks to play with. The park is surrounded by beautiful greenery and there are constantly Dogiz of all different shapes and sizes here to play with."

3) Kikar Hamedina

"Kikar Hamedina is the perfect example of how Tel Aviv dog parks have forged such strong Dogiz communities! Local friendly Dogiz are always nearby and the owners are super friendly! The community here is super tight and extremely close with each other. Everyone knows everyone and Kikar Hamedina is an amazing place to come and meet new people. What I really love about Kikar Hamedina is how it brings together people (and dogiz) of all different ages who share a common love for man's best friend!"

4) Elifelet- Florentine

"This awesome hidden gem in the middle of Florentine has become the central hangout for the cool 'hipster' dogs of the city! Elifelet is a pretty large dog park with two separate sections for different sized dogs. Elifelet has a pretty young crowd and is an awesome place for young singles looking to meet hip Tel Avivians who live in the hustle and bustle of Florentine! Florentine now has a huge dog community and this new park has become extremely popular with young locals. If you come later in the evenings, don't be surprised if you sniff out certain 'herbs' which are popular with the young hipsters/musicians/students who can be found chilling whilst their Dogiz get 'high' playing fetch ;-)"

5) Gan Meir

"Gan Meir is one of the larger and more famous dog parks in the city. Gan Meir is like a 24/7 pumping nightclub for Tel Aviv dogs! No matter what time you pop by, you are almost guaranteed to have other Dogiz to play with. If you go during the day don't be surprised to see dog walkers there with 20-30 dogs at a time. Although this means that there are always dog's to play with, some locals try and avoid the parks during the day as there can often be too many dogs, leading to the occasional 'broiges.' It is a great place to pick up nice hot local singles- and like every great nightclub, there is always some action, as well as the occasional fight. ;-)

5 Reasons Why My Dog Loves Tel Aviv

5 Reasons Why My Dog Loves Tel Aviv!!

"Hi! My name is Mufasa, I am half German, part Jewish and slightly gay. I live in a small apartment in Tel Aviv, getting out to stretch my legs brings the hope of meeting up with my friends- and maybe even get some action ;-)

Here are my 5 reasons I love living in Tel Aviv:

1) DOGPARKS:

"Living in Tel Aviv means there is always a park close by, and so many different DOGIZ to play with!"

2) THE BEACH:

"Nothing makes me happier than running along the beach chasing birds, or playing with my friend's at the dog beach!"

3) GAY FRIENDLY:

"Luckily for me, Tel Aviv is an extremely gay-friendly city! I came out of the kennel when I moved from Herzliya and couldn't be happier here in TLV.

4)ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN:

"The Dog parks are the perfect spot for play, exercise and for finding true love!"

5) THE BEST FRIENDS A DOGGIE COULD ASK FOR:

" Every day I look forward to catching up with my friends at the dog park to hear what's been barking in the neighbourhood! Whether its chasing each other, playing fetch, or just simply sniffing poop- I always have the best time in the world and arrive home ready for a nice long siesta ;-)

Intro!

"My name is Mufasa, and as you can see I am half German Shepard. I live in Tel Aviv, and I have a pretty stressful life. I sleep on average 18 hours a day, go to the dog park every day, and watch movies on the couch most evenings!

"The life of a gay dog in Tel Aviv can be stressful. I came out of the kennel when I moved to Tel Aviv! Doggies in Herzliya were so conservative and would judge me for being different :(
Since I moved to Tel Aviv, everything changed! The doggies here are much more liberal, and far more accepting!

"This weather is really starting to piss me off though, I have been needing a shit for the last few hours, but seeing as its raining my lazy owner doesn't want to take me out! I've had to stay in watching TV! When will the sun come out so I can go to the doggie park and see my friends?! Maybe if I am lucky I will get some action!"

"I love playing with my friends and to share my adventures! Follow my blog to find out what it is really like for a dog that is part German, pretty Gay and slightly Jewish living in the heart of Tel Aviv. Join me on my journey as I turn Tel Aviv into my Pride Rock!!
